Moderately challenging. The Latin alphabet and the many Spanish loanwords make it approachable. The real difficulty is the 'verb focus' grammatical structure, which differs radically from European languages. But core vocabulary is often recognizable: 'mesa' (table), 'kutsara' (spoon), 'pinto' (door) all come directly from Spanish.
