Is French difficult to learn for English or Arabic speakers?

For English speakers, French is considered 'moderately difficult' (category 2 of 5 according to the FSI), around 600 hours to reach B2 level. For Arabic speakers, French grammar is complex but the vocabulary shares numerous borrowings (couscous, algebra, magazine). What is the difference between Metropolitan French and Canadian (Quebec) French?

Quebec French has preserved archaic forms from 17th-century French and has developed its own vocabulary ('char' for car, 'courriel' for email). The accent is immediately recognisable. In France, you will hear 'super', 'génial', 'c'est nul'; in Quebec, 'ben correct', 'ostie', 'câline'. We can train you in either variety according to your needs.

Can I prepare for the DELF or DALF with Targumi?

How do I learn French without confusing 'être' and 'avoir' in compound tenses?

This is THE classic trap. The rule: verbs of movement and state (aller, venir, partir, naître, mourir…) take 'être' in compound tenses, all others take 'avoir'. Our teachers teach these rules through memory stories and natural conversation drills, you absorb the right reflexes without memorising a list.

How many hours a week do I need to make real progress in French?
